A Survivor’s Odyssey:
The Journey of Penelope and Circe
I was the Environment Designer and Technical Artist for A Survivor's Odysssey: The Journey of Penelope and Circe, a live virtual opera performed using green screen technology and the Unreal Engine, which premiered September 2021.
I collaborated with the show's Director to compile a database of 3D art assets used to build each scene for the show. I arranged the assets, modified them as needed, and lit the scenes.
I also coached the actors live to place their NDI green screen video feeds inside of each scene, and animated the results using Unreal's Sequencer camera system.
Additionally, I worked across all departments to integrate their work into the scenes. I created and maintained the Unreal project and GitHub repository, established workflow procedures, and trained team members in using Unreal and GitHub.
